Just one More week!

Well Folks, Just exactly one week....7 days, until we are on the road to virginia beach....that means, that i only have 6 more days to pack up the house, clean the house, and prepare ourselves for the treck ahead! Normal military families let the movers and packers do it for them, but not my husband! Normally the movers come to your house, PACK ALL YOUR STUFF FOR YOU, and haul it to your destination! All you have to do, is get yourself to the new destination, the movers even haul it inside your new house!! so much easier wouldnt you say?! well not for my husband! Hes not the one that has to box it all up! LOL.... i told him though, that i am not lifting one box out of this house, or lifting one box into the new house! so he better be rounding up some people to help! we shook on it! because i was insistant that with 2 kids its going to be hard as hell to keep an eye on both of them while loading/unloading the uhaul! plus alot of this stuff i cant haul myself so its twice the work because brian has to help me carry big boxes and stuff! so i was stamping my foot that we are finally having movers do it for us! well he thought otherwise so thats when i said, well i promise i will box and unbox everything if i do not have to lift anything comming or going! and he shook on it! Im sticking to my end of the deal....will he?! we shall see ;) Last night brian was filling some of the nail holes in the wall, and over the weekend i packed up everything in the kitchen that we dont need until we move, rolled up rugs and scrubbed the shit out of the kitchen. we need that deposite back so i am making sure i clean this place so the next renters can eat off the bathroom floor if they would like too!

On a different note, last week i had my appointment for post partum. And my levels for my thyroid were all over the place, so they started me on synthroid (thyroid meds). I really hope they kick in soon, because i cant take this being tired all the time stuff. I get so tired around noon everyday that my eyes cross, and its not just my eyes tired, its my whole body..... like my body is just exhausted. Its the worst feeling in the world!!! Im such a "go go go" person that being tired doesnt really comply with my lifestyle! I have been also really irritable, the dr said that is normal when thyroid levels are out of wack so i hope that goes away soon too, because with a 3 year old you kind of need patience, and to not be irritated at the many questions that they have! i tell ya, that kid plays 20 question for everything. he is so  curious. "mommy what is that girl doing?" "what is her name" "what is her mommys name" "where do you think they live?" " are they going to eat like me?" "what kind of shoes is he wearing mommy?!" "why is she being shy?" "do you want to sit next to me?" "can she sit next to me mommy?" "why isnt she talking to me?" "isnt that mean mommy?" and the list goes on, (thats only half the questions that come out of his mouth in like a 2 minute period..... this in itself is exhausting! LOL!!! I cant find answers fast enough for him! LOL. I love that he is so smart and inquisitive though! hes quite amazing!

Slade got his flu shot. The dr. wants us all to get one since keni cant have one until she is 6 months old, so slade got his today, and we will get ours soon, when they offer them.   Also sis had her dr. appointment today, she weighs almost 16 pounds!! SHEWWWW!!! she eats like she has never eaten before!  but shes a cute little chunk!! She is in the 90th percentile for weight...bahahahaha!!! She also has a very large head. I was concerned with her holding her head up,she holds it up great, she seems to be really strong but i was concerned because it always leans to one side, and the dr said, "kendal is right on target with her strength ability, and i have no concerns with her leaning her head. the problem is, is that its just she has a very heavy head!" I just laughed... i said "yep i know, shes got one large noggin".... the dr replied with a snicker and "yes she does but that just means she'll be very smart"....lol. Nice save dr....nice save ;) " YOU CALLING MY DAUGHTERS HEAD HUGE?!" bahahah.....

This past weekend was filled with lots of fun!! Brians birthday was friday! we just had a little family party and relaxed...it was really nice. Then on  Saturday we just stuck around the house, did lots of packing and cleaning, then on Sunday we took slade to Sesame Place!! it was an awesome adventure!! Military gets in free (one time a year) so we just had to pay for the gas to get there, food, and parking! it was a great day out of the house, and our little man is a dare devil!! his first ride was the biggest ride there, THE ROLLER COASTER! i got to be the one to take him on it first, and he just LOVED IT! he was screaming with delight and wanted to go again and again! he rode that thing 4 times, and would have kept going if we would have allowed it! Looks like he took after his momma in the coaster loving department, daddy loves them too :) "HIGH FIVE!!!".......cant wait to be able to take him on bigger coasters over the years!

Well i have to say that Sis has been sleeping through the night, and she is pretty much on a solid schedule! thats HUGE! i love it!! Slade was 3 months as well when he started his schedule pretty steadily. She goes to bed around 8:30 and wakes up at 4 with a couple of grunts, then falls back asleep, grunts at 6, goes back to sleep then wakes up between 7  and 7:30! its nice cause she doesnt actually require us to get up with her, she just puts herself back to sleep :) then she just eats every 4 hours, wakes up around 2 inthe afternoon to play, eats her bottle around 4ish takes a quick cat nap, and is awake until after her 7:20 pm bottle, then night nights :) we are blessed with amazing children! the great part of it all, is that she is asleep when slade is, so brian and i actually have time together in the evening, and during the day naptime, i have some quiet time to myself. ahhhh ;)

Well i guess thats enough babbling! to the boxes i go! have a wonderful day everyone!

All the "JOYS" of motherhood

Okay so i just have a couple of things on my mind. I was wondering this:

How come that on a day that you have alot of much needed things to do that require alot of focus and attention; such as packing up the house, that, that is the day your child decides its a good day to not listen to a word that you have to say?! And do whatever the hell they want?! Well that is how my morning went. I swear he was in time out every 3 minutes for a whole hour. Every 3 minutes he would get off of time out, i would yell "come here slade" (that meant it was time to  get off his time out spot i.e. his bed, and come to wherever i was yelling from) well he decided that it would be fun to test my patience and not come when called, so that just made him have another time out. he was in uncountable amount of time outs this morning! Here's another scenario: i would look over when he would be "helping" me pack, and he would have just unboxed or unbagged garbage and belongings that i just spent time putting together or throwing out!!! So "helpful" that was! just doubled my workload. Of course he didnt get introuble for that, because deep in his heart he really thought he was helping.

He is a wonderful, truely helpful child, but when something requires more of my attention than he would like it too, he decides that its a good time to press mommies buttons to prove a point that he is still my primary focus. Any attention is good attention in his eyes. The funny thing is though, that when i am taking care of sis, he is SO patient! He just waits until i am finished, but if its something such as cleaning or packing he is just right up in my "grill". He loves to help but apperantly today, packing wasn't on his mind! Digging out everytoy possible was!

Also, how is it that when you are out in public with your pack of children, single people or people who are out alone, decide that you are an annoyance in their day?! Like for instance, i had to hit up the grocery store today, during lunch break, yes i know poor timing but avoiding "lunch hour" wasnt on my list of "to do's" today. When i had the open time to leave the house, i did so! Anywhos-it, these people that were at the store for a quick stop, cut you off, snear at you, and just give you the run down of how you are in their way, with that look of "dont you know im in a hurry"....when all i want to say is "listen here asshole!! i am in the middle of packing out, with 2 kids and a shit ton of errands to do before we leave! sorry that i am an incovinience to you, while you are buying your cigs and bottle of pop!"......people are just down right rude!  Any parent knows that teaching your children independance and growth is key! so when slade goes with me to the store, he helps me get what we need off of the shelf. I tell him, he finds it, grabs it, while i wait patiently for him. Single people dont have these patience, and look at you like you are a pile of dogshit on their doorstep! Its just downright rude, and its one of my biggest pet peeves ever. and i NEVER apologize for that! my childs developement is far more important that me worrying about offending someone or being in their way. They can either be patient with us, or not, either way, i dont give a rats ass!

Whew! I feel a little better!
Okay that is all.
Have a good afternoon!

Bigger and Better places......

Well First off I want to say, welcome to my new blog! I had to create a new blog account on a different website because blog.com was having server issues and couldnt be logged onto. So that no longer exists to me, so i needed another outlet......So here I am! There are several new updates that i have floating around in my tiney brain that i would like to "put on paper". So here we go!

Packing for our new "life" began! All wall hangings are down and boxed, my dining room only consists of the filled boxes and a bare table. I have to say that this is quite "cold" and makes me have a feeling of "bittersweetness!". I have worked hard to make this small house, into a cozy, family place that we LOVE to call home. I am going to be very sad to leave this house. We have had alot happen to us as a family in this house, and its very saddening to leave it. We will no longer be able to enter either house the children were brought home from the hospital in, and that breaks my heart; brings me to tears. It might sound crazy and petty to you all, but we have moved so many times, and left so many things behind, that its hard to do it again, and again, and again. I know its what we chose, but still doesnt make it any easier. We are proud of our choices, we fell, fell hard, got back up and are proud to be who we are now. The price we pay now is small, and rewarding, just hard at times. So our new journey begins in 12 days! We will be on our way to Virginia beach.

I cant wait to decorate our new place! its always so exciting to put all your things into an empty space and make it your home! I love that feeling!
This is a picture of one of the base housing units. This will not be ours, but you get the idea. We are really excited!

Well the kids are doing well! Keni is 12 weeks old, she is almost exactly 3 months old! I just cant believe how fast time goes, and how fast babies grow! I guess I never realized it as much with Slade because I knew he wasn't going to be my last. But in Keni's case, she IS my last, and i know that, and i love the baby stage. I just love how they smell, how they snuggle, and most of all, how they have NO attitude whatsoever. Well who I am I kidding, Ken has had an attitude since day 1. She knows exactly what she wants, and when she wants it. Can't wait until the Teen Years. Ha yah right! But anyways, she is holding her head up really well. She holds it up for minutes at a time while sitting in her Bumbo chair. She hates tummy time with a passion and refuses to do anything but smash her head into the couch, or floor, screaming and pretty much smothering herself. Its quite the sight to see. She is getting so strong in her legs. She stands herself up on our legs for long periods of time, but  she just falls to the ground/our legs like a brick trying to float in water when her Turkey legs give out! She hasn't laughed yet, but she has this excited scream and screech. its the cutest thing, and her smiles are just huge, she also smiles with her eyes and its so heartwarming. She knows she is loved and We know she loves us as well! She has outgrown over half of her wardrobe. she is already growing out of 3 month clothes and some 3-6 month clothes! wowza! She is also sleeping in her own crib, she is fully out of the pack and play, and in her own bedroom. she sleeps a full night, and she is getting on a sleep schedule. its very nice, and being able to sleep mostly all night again is awesome.

Slade is doing well. He is getting so creative. He also now sings with songs on the TV and he is building some wonderful characteristics, but also creating some really bad ones. His attitude is really getting bad, but im assuming he's just getting his terrible two's late! Dont get me wrong, he is still a great kid, and we are blessed in that department, but sometimes it just makes ya wonder! Hes an awesome big brother, he cares more about her than i would have ever thought. He is the kindest, warmest spirit. But he knows how to play mommy and daddy very well! Smart kid...LOL.

Brian is getting ready  to Check out of his current command. He only has a week left! pretty crazy that 2 years have already passed us by in a blink of an eye! He turns 24 on friday. Old fart .... bahaha. (im already 24, yeah save all your "cradle robbing" jokes). What a great father he is. He's just amazing, and I am so blessed to have him in my life.

As far as  I go...Everything is going pretty good. Other than just taking care of the kiddo's and trying to pack up the house, everything is going pretty smooth. I just had my post partum check up, and they are wanting me to get checked out again for  "returning" endometriosis. and My thyroid levels are all over the page, she is starting me on meds, and my neck is huge. She says that a goiter is forming and once we move and get a new doctor, i need to get in that office asap. So we shall see. Ive been so exhausted and tired, and really trying to lose weight but its just not working. She said all that has to do with my thyroid affecting me. So hopefully once i get this medication i can start losing weight again.

While we are home in Michigan we are getting Kendal baptized. The date is November 7.. (sunday) at the 9:00 service. The god parents are going to be Amanda & Michael Robertson (same as sladen). We are trying to plan a party for afterwards to see everyone and have everyone meet Keni & make it a special day.  When everything is confirmed I will let everyone know. We can't wait to come home. Its such a nice break to just shut our minds off and enjoy the company of all our loved ones. Just a warm feeling.

Leaving DC is kind of bittersweet for me. I really like being able to see all the monuments and everything we get to see here. I really enjoy that. But i dont enjoy this place as a whole. The traffic is aweful, the people are rude, maryland is just a dirty state. We are ready to move on. It's pretty exciting!

Well I think that is all for now. I hope you all enjoyed reading this! xxoo
