Day 29 of he Challenge!

Good morning Friends!! Gosh I am so happy its friday! It feels like this week took FOREVER!  The only reason i think that it possibly felt longer than normal, is because Brian had a 4 day weekend last week by having thursday and friday off, so this week was LONG compared to last weeks 3 day week! But i stayed alive, stayed afloat... haha. Last night as I was preparing dinner I said that i had plans with a friend tomorrow (which would be today, to take her and her son along with us to the dollar store!) and he said "what do you mean, her husband would be home to drive her? its the weekend!" i had to tell him that it would still be a work day and he replied with "ah shit, i thought my weekend was starting!" hahaha. So anyways, our weekend is finally arriving! and its supposed to be 75 degrees tomorrow, so i am hoping we can have a beach day! Nothing beats sitting on the sand watching the kids and husband play with the salty breeze blowing your hair. ITs so peaceful and heartwarming to hear the waves crashing the beach and all the giggles it brings. Thats where i like to spend my time! Another part of my weekend will consist of this easter bunny going shopping!!! The kids want rain boots every time we go to the store, so i think rainboots, a toy, and a movie plus a basket full of goodies each should be good!! I remember my easter bunny brought me a hot colored cheetah print bathing suit one year and i never forgot it. actually, I remember most of my child hood easters! I sure love my holidays! We  actually have to take marce to the vet tomorrow morning to make sure she isnt sick with worms. She vomitted up a suspicious "string" yesterday so we are assuming that is what it is.... Poor baby girl.  Well i guess i should get on with the "challenge". its not a very hard one, or exciting but you can read on anyways!

Day 29: 5 favorite girls names, 5 Favorite boy names:
I can't have anymore kids so these names are names that we were contemplating for future kids or names that we wanted to use while preparing for kids. But since we have our 2 amazing kiddo's, there are no more in our future! Sadly.

Girls/Boys names:
1. Ryker Allan (would have been sis if she was a boy haha)
2. Owen
3. Ryder
4. Blake
5. Seth

1. Sophia
2. Callie or Cammie (cameron)
3. Norah
4. Zoe
5. Kylie

On a side note- none of those names sound like they would fit sis now that we know her. She doesnt "look" like any of those names, I am glad we decided not to change her name before she was born. We had her name picked out for so long that we were having doubts that we loved it anymore, but i am glad we stuck with it. and slades name fits him as well. i can't imagine any other names!

So those are the names that i Love .... nothing tops Ryker for me.... Nothing. I love that name its a bit odd but so is Sladen and we get so many compliments on his name. And we couldnt have picked a better name for Sis. Its so fitting for her. Kendal is kind of delicate but not quite (like her) and Keni/Ken is just plain manly and well, shes more boy than slade sometimes! haha.

Day 28 of the Challenge!!

Well Hello, I know this is later in the day than i normally post, but i have been busy today! I did some cleaning, grocery shopping, put the groceries away, changed the living room around, in retrospect it doesnt seem so busy, but it sure felt as tho it was! But lets get started!

Day 28: a date you wish someone would take you on:

There are so many romantic dates on movies with all the twinkle lights, flowers, glitz & glamour..... very romantic. Lets get real, My husband would NEVER do that for me. I think he thinks he would get his balls chopped of from being too romantic. Not only that, but it would cost a fortune to pull off, plus dinner costs NOT to mention the babysitter fee....... (which is pretty pricey! 8 bucks an hour.. I remember getting 3 bucks an hour total for 3 kids hahahaha) To tell you the truth, I'm a simple kind of gal. Sure i like romance, and if he ever did all the "hollywood" dates for me, sure i wouldn't turn him down or walk away, but taking me on a simple putt putt and dinner date or go to a go cart track and dinner would bring just as big of a smile to me. I like to go to the beach and relax without kids and soak up the peacefulness it brings. He can take me shooting again because that was pretty fun. I guess a dream date would be a date to Busch gardens, a day of exhilaration on the rides, free of kids, eating fattening food and not sharing with 2 little mouths... haha... I know you read these babe, so get to planning :) One date i am not a fan of is going to the movies. You can't talk while you are in it, so why waste the money to pay a babysitter when you arent any more intimate than being at home watching a movie?! That's just my thought anyways! So as far as dream dates go, i don't dream to big. We are on a tight budget with 2 kids and a babysitter, so Simple is just as romantic as a big shabang. Getting out of the house kid free is a dream date, shoot!! haha.

Day 27 of the challenge!

Good morning. Boy, we had some kind of night last night! Our kitchen ceiling decided to leak, and when brian checked it, his fingers went right through the ceiling. maintenance came out, the leak is stopped, and this morning they are supposed to be out here to fix our ceiling. Then when we went to bed our lighting and fan decided to break, so bri had to rig it together so we could turn on the light and fan....... Seems like one thing after another here! sorry for my complaining but, damn its so annoying to be put in "safe" housing and it seems to be far from it. Its more of a worry than anything. So anyways, Back to the challenge.......

Day 27: something that makes you angry:
Do I have to choose just one? I think i will just do what i have done in precious posts is list a bunch of topics that make me angry broadly, and not explain to much because you'll understand.

Some of the things that make me angry is the parents around here who could give two shits about their kids; where they're at, what they're doing... just as long as the parent has their "quiet" time all is well. That to me is pathetic. Those kids might need fresh air, but they also need guidance, and for you to get off your lazy ass and help them safely explore! This place isn't small, its about 2 miles around and there are 6-8 houses in each unit, which makes for HUNDREDS of homes, and strangers for these kids to be lost!  The other day there was a boy, maybe 5, crossing the road outside of the housing "gates"....ALONE..... with training wheels. Makes me angry to know where that parent is. I'm not trying to judge or belittle anyone, but it most certainly makes me angry. I in no way shape or form think i am better than anyone, but rather think that is a horrible thing to do to young children.

In other topics, more things that make me angry, (a little less judgmental and a little more light hearted coming your way)... What about if you go to the store (mainly walmart in my case) you go there for 3 specific things on your list, and they only have 1. That makes me angry. Or they have what you need, you buy it, get it home and its broken or rotten; that makes me angry. Unfriendly Cashiers who believe you are making their life inconvenient, and show you that sour face....makes me angry. Rude people make me angry. Housing makes me angry. Sometimes brian makes me angry.....i have no idea why....?! (haha!) When the kids don't listen time, after time, after time, I sometimes get angry. The dog not listening makes me angry. How often greys  anatomy is reruns- gets me angry. As you can tell i am moving to littler annoying things that lead to anger.  when brians shows take precedence on the dvr over mine; that makes me angry.

So there are alot of little triggers that lead to anger, and there are more bigger problems that make me angry, but for now i have given you enough to read so todays challenge is finished, i  have given you a list of things that anger me, now you know just a tad more info about me than you did yesterday! haha.... Have a great hump day!

Day 26 of the Challenge!

Good morning!! all this pollen sure is getting the best of us here at the houtshold! Sis is coughing up a storm this morning, My throat is all itchy along with my eyes, and my nose is so gross. Bri always is suffering from allergies, but slade seems to be doing the best! Good for him, because the rest of us are feeling lousy! They are currently eating Captain Crunch all berries, drinking chocolate milk, all while sitting on the couch watching umizoomi. The dog is sizing up their bowls, figuring out what is the best way to do the sneak attack...... All while licking her chops...... haha. So that is my morning. I woke up a 3:30 am because i couldnt sleep and something was stabbing my ribs! What was stabbing me you ask? Well i fell asleep on my glasses, so they were all bent and one of the ear pieces was flipped upwards, thus stabbing me. Had to unbend them like a pretzel this morning.... Yikes! Guess i was more tired than i thought last night! haaahaaa!! Well, lets get started.....

Day 26:  A person you wish you lived closer to, and Why?:

Well, as being part of the Military, and moving around so much; You can't just pick ONE individual you wish you lived closer to. There are numerous people, in bunches of different places. Sometimes i wish that i could just move all of us into one place, with all the proper jobs and we can all be one happy community. In the real live world, that isn't possible, but one could only wish....right?!

Some of the obvious people I would love to live closer to, are my top 10.... The ones you read about yesterday. If you didn't read yesterday, they are My parents, and my sisters family. Living by them would make things so much more fun, and i could watch my niece and nephews grow in person, and not in pictures. I think out of all of the "downs" of being a military family, one of the worst, is missing out on the important things. Such as Hazel and Ezra's birthdays, and firsts. I always wanted to be the best Aunt, the cool one, The one they could go to when Mommy said no. But i can't be that, and it tears at my heart. The best i can do, is make up for it when I am around. Its not fair, and its not easy, but that is the path we have to take, so instead of looking down upon it, i take the best things i can away from this!

Other people i would LOVE to live closer to, are Stephanie & the zalba family, Jozie, Heather & ambria, The mrozinkskis, the ROBERTSONS, the MURRAYSSS!!!! the huey family, my grandparents, the rest of my/our family/cousins/uncles/aunts and friends!!!! ....... Sharing weddings and showers, seeing them the way everyone else does, instead of being on the outside of the loop. But again it isn't possible, so just bear and grin it.

We have lived in 2 different places in DC, so we made family there. The people i wish I could live closer to out of our "family" there are Janina & the rest of the Blairs, Elizabeth Killingbeck and her little family, Lauren, Ali callies, The amazing white family, The CRIOLLO family!, the Likens family........Oh boy, there is just SO many people that I wish i could live by. But thankfully we keep in touch and thats the second best thing!

We can't always get our way, but we can try our hardest to stay in contact. Its the name of the game, goodbyes are common, but hopefully your paths cross again and you can see them on a daily basis again. But the most important thing is, that they were in my life for when i needed them, and they will be there again. Thats how life goes.

I love you all!!

Day 23, 24 & 25 of the Challenge!

Good morning!!! We had a WONDERFUL 4 day weekend packed with so much!! On thursday we spent the day at the beach, and i ran down at the boardwalk with my friend Erin. Our husbands and Kids waited on the beach and played in the meantime!! We also had movie night when we got home, and it was just completely relaxing! Then on Friday, we spent another full day at the beach!! Finding sand crabs, playing beach football, and enjoying the company of the Certo family! After the beach we headed to the store to buy a grill! (i think that was one of my favorite parts of the weekend!!) We grilled out that evening, and hit the hay early for our 5k race saturday morning! Saturday we had Tyler come to watch the kids, and we left at 6am to head to our race. The race went well, and it was such a cool experience, and i can't wait to do it again! Having bri run along side of me for most of it, was quite amazing....once he ran the last .7 by himself he KILLED it!! getting first in his age division and his overal race score rocked!! Plus, he ran across the finish line with me once he was finished. He's such a great support. LOVE him! Then sunday i enjoyed a foggy beach run with my girls, lindsy and Erin! Then the Blair family came to visit from DC. it was GREAT to see them, i sure miss that family!!! Now its monday again, and I wasnt ready for it!! haha!! Now lets get started!

Day 23: a month/year in your life when you were happiest:
Its hard to really pinpoint when i was happiest, because there have been so many happy months/ times in my life. But i would have to say that at this point and time in my life Im happier than Ever! We have our BRIAN back and everything is on track. I am healthier than i have EVER been, and I feel amazing!!! My kids are growing and learning and becoming little amazing people! I have 2 amazing friends out here! even tho we have tough decisions ahead, the good SO outweighs the bad!! Right now I am happy and content and I can't wait to keep things coming! Comparing this time last year, to this time this year makes a HUGE difference! This time last year, we only had 40 some odd days with brian left before his deployment! So it was packed with PACKING, getting things in order, and a dark cloud over our head.... SO yes, right now, this time in my life, i can say that i have never been happier!!!

Day 24: your favorite 10 people right now and why:
1. Brian- Hes my rock
2.Sladen- Hes my little man
3.Kendal- my little devil child and i wouldnt have it any other way.
4.Mom- shes always there when i need her.
5.Dad- great support system. I love him dearly.
6.Jess- She's my sister, she is always there if and when i need her.
7.Jer- He is an amazing father and husband for my sister and their family. he's great!
8.Hazel- my fabulous neice
9.Ezra- my awesome nephew!
10. New Baby Hart! - well i havent met him yet, but he is bound to be spectacular!

Reguardless of the friends that i have by my side all the time, and the love i have for them, family ALWAYS come first, and i couldnt pick anyone different than those 10 people. THOSE people mean the WORLD to me. Without them, i wouldn't be anything!!!!!

Day 25. 5 things you're looking forward too:
1. Color me Rad 5k Easter weekend!! I cannot even wait to run my heart out and get splattered with paint as I do it. Nothing sounds cooler than that, and I am SUPER excited to run it with some great friends, and of course my husband!!

2. Easter!! I cannot wait to see what the bunny brings the kiddo's!!!!

3. Meeting my new nephew. Whether i get to be there to see him fresh, or if i get to see him in pictures, i am looking forward to seeing him and eventually meeting the little poop chute!!

4. Our visit home this summer!!!

5. Well shoot, aren't i the boring one! I dont have a 5th thing i am looking forward to. In all honesty, i look forward to everything so its hard to just narrow down to certain things.

Well, thats all for my blogs for the passed 3 days!! I know im a slacker on the weekends, but its so nice to actually just be the 4 of us, that i tend to just "relish" in it!!!! I hope you all had a great weekend!!!  i will see you tomorrow!!

Day 22 of the challenge!

Good morning!!!

Day 22: the last movie you watched.

Last night we watched Tower Heist and Footloose. They were both really good. Tower heist is a good movie. Im  a fan of Ben stiller, and it has a handfull of familiar actors in it!  Tower Heist is about a guy named josh (ben stiller) he is the building manager of a apartement building in New York called "the tower". He finds out that one of the Tennents Mr. Shaw stole their money for their pensions. He was supposed to invest for Josh's building but instead lost it, and tried to flee the city. Thats the concept...... I dont want to give to much away, but its worth the watch. Its kind of comical, its not too serious, but very enjoyable!!

We also watched Footloose. And since it was "my pick" and the husband didnt fall asleep at all during it, i would say that it was pretty good! It was cheesy, no doubt about that, but still enjoyable. I chuckled quite a bit. I have seen the first footloose, but it was so long ago, i dont know how compareable it is to this remake! Dennis Quaid is the father of the daughter in this movie, and boy is he getting old! other than seeing him on Ellen every now and again, i havent watched a movie he was in since yours, mine and ours! So he has aged a bit! that movie was like 2005 !!haha. Anyways, cheesy movie like i said, but its worth the watch for atleast the "younger crowd".... But worth a shot for anyone i would assume :)

Have a wonderful day everyone! we are going to enjoy our warmth, soak up the beach and the sun, and hopefully get our AC fixed because this 78 degrees in the house with the AC on is Bologna....For the birds I say!!!!

day 21 of the challenge!

Good morning! This post is going to be rather boring. Not sure why they stuck this random question in there, but never the less, I will answer it! So here we go!

Day 21: what does your favorite tshirt look like.

My favorite Shirt, its not even a t-shirt or a shirt, its a sweat shirt hoody. Its my Grey US navy sweatshirt. You all know what i am talking about, its been in millions of pictures of mine. Sometimes when i put it on, brian just looks at me like "that sweater, again!?" what can I say, i am a comfortable person who loves familiar things. That sweatshirt is my favorite, its so cozy, warm and cute so you can wear it to many things. You can sit at home on the couch, you can go camping, go to an evening beach stroll, the races, you name it, that sweatshirt has went! Haha.....its everything you can ask for in a sweatshirt!! LOL!!  Thats the end of the question. My favorite shirt is my Grey US navy hoody!!
