Today we had Kendal's 4 month well baby visit! We are a little behind schedule from moving and getting a new doctor, but we finally got in, today! But before we got there, we had to conquer virginia beach "ice road trucker" style! As you all probably know, we got snow this weekend. And well lets just say Virginia Beach isn't really "well planned" for snow. So I loaded the kids all bundled in their winter duds and set out on our way. Our housing complex is PURE ICE. yes you read that correctly. apparently Military housing doesn't buy stock in road salt! So out on the road we went. Nothing is more nerve racking than hitting icy roads with your chicklings in the backseat, and parking lots full of expensive cars, or just cars in general. I seriously got to the end of our street and was about to say F*@& it! But nope, Im a Michigander, I can handle this!! However, No matter the driver YOU are, its the cars AROUND you that don't know how to drive! The expression "DO NOT PRESS BRAKES ON ICE" means NOTHING to these people! IDIOTS! So anyways, yes, it took us a little while but we got there, in one piece non the less! Kendal HATES to be touched when SHE isn't ready. Shes a TRUE diva! so I got her stripped down, and the second the nurse even put that soft tape measure around her noggin she was in full force meltdown mode! and slade was all concerned watching with crocodile tears! He hates when sissy cries....in turn it makes him cry, because he thinks/thought she was being hurt! I had to console both children, all the while i am filling out plethora's of new patient paperwork! She weight in at a whopping 19.6 pounds, and 26.5 inches long! she is in the 98th percentile for all 3 areas. (height, weight and head circumference). Shes a big baby. We arent at all used to having a normal size baby! Slade is on the low end of the spectrum and Kendal is on the High end of it! None the less my children are perfect in my eyes! SHe recieved 2 shots and she is getting her 2 bottom front teeth in! shes growing soooo fast!
* Note--- the icy housing complex are after we got home and alot of it was melted. not at all like when we left. but still you can envision what it looked like at one time.
